Amy Lauren received her degrees in music from Mississippi College. She authored Prodigal (Bottlecap Press), God With Us (Headmistress Press), and She/Her/Hers (Headmistress Press). Her poems have appeared in publications such as The Gay & Lesbian Review, Cordite Poetry Review, and New Orleans Review with four Pushcart Prize nominations.
